Livorno and Arnett Co., LPA, is honored to represent a number of private and public employee labor unions. Most private employers are covered by the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), while public employees in Ohio have bargaining rights pursuant to the Ohio Public Employee Collective Bargaining Act (Revised Code Chapter 4117).

We believe that employee organizations serve an important function in today’s world by representing their members, collectively bargaining on their behalf for fair and reasonable wages and benefits, assuring that safe working conditions are provided, and protecting them from arbitrary and discriminatory actions. Our firm assists those unions in their organizing efforts, their negotiations of collective bargaining agreements, and the administration of those agreements. We often represent unions in arbitration hearings when employers violate the collective bargaining agreement or terminate employees without just cause.

Our labor union clients include the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters (OAPFF), numerous firefighter locals, the United Steelworkers of America (USWA), the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), and the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU).
